The Itchen Valley Brewery

The Itchen Valley Brewery is Alresford’s very own real ale brewery. It’s award-winning beers are available in pubs across Hampshire and beyond. Call in at the brewery to discover the brewing process and sample the results for yourself.

The Itchen Valley Brewery was established in 1997. It originally brewed only one beer — Godfathers — but has since expanded and now boasts a growing range of regular brews, including Godfathers, Fagins, Pure Gold, Wykehams Glory, Hambledon Bitter, Treacle Stout and Wat Tyler. The brewery also creates a number of special and seasonal beers, brewed throughout the year.

The brewery has won numerous regional and national awards, notably the Bronze Champion Beer of Britain 1998 title for Godfathers from the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

Visitors are welcome, and brewery tours and tastings can be booked by prior arrangement. The brewery also has its own shop, where you can buy bottled and draught beer as well as a wide variety of beer-related merchandise.
